We are seeing large numbers of reports from customers stating emails sent to Hotmail addresses are bouncing back, suggesting our servers are blacklisted again.

Bouncebacks are of the form:

Unknown address error 550-'SC-004 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. A block has been placed against your IP address because we have received complaints concerning mail coming from that IP address. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your E-mail/Internet Service Provider for help. Email/network admins, we recommend enrolling in our Junk E-Mail Reporting Program (JMRP), a free program intended to help senders remove unwanted recipients from their e-mail list:

If you were logged in to the portal, you could associate your username with this problem.

Passed to a network engineer for further investigation.

Request sent to Hotmail to request delisting of our IPs.

Response received from Hotmail advising that the block against our IPs is set to be lifted by (May 4 2009 2:03PM PST).

Test emails sent to a Hotmail account using the relay servers appear to be getting through. Will keep the problem open for monitoring and send it for signoff if no further problems are encountered.

We believe this issue is now resolved. The problem is being downgraded for continued monitoring
