Metronet contact numbers advertised on the Metronet portal do not appear to be operational.

Tel: 0845 140 0083 - Gives service unavailable tone
Tel: 0114 296 5185 - Gives engaged tone

A customer reported this was occurring yesterday and the issue appears to still be present today.

If you were logged in to the portal, you could associate your username with this problem.

We're currently investigating why the line(s) are busy and how to manage them.

We currently manage incoming calls by giving engaged tones when a certain number of calls in the queue has been reached. We have recently reviewed the way we manage this and have taken the decision to implement messages instead of engaged tones. This work will be carried out over the next few weeks, after which customers will receive a message to inform them we are busy, rather than an engaged tone.

Customers who have connectivity are encouraged to raise a support ticket during busy times; our current call statistics can be viewed at csc.plus.net
